Wipro Teams Up with CrowdStrike to Launch AI-Driven Unified Security Platform

September 15, 2025 - Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading provider of AI-powered technology services and consulting, has announced an expanded alliance with CrowdStrike to introduce Wipro CyberShieldSM MDR. This next-generation managed security service (MSS) leverages artificial intelligence to streamline and enhance enterprise cybersecurity operations through a unified platform.

Wipro CyberShield MDR is designed to address the growing complexity of cybersecurity, where enterprises are burdened by alert overload and disjointed security tools that fall short in mitigating threats. Powered by CrowdStrike Falcon® Next-Gen SIEM, the platform enhances threat visibility, simplifies workflows, and fortifies organizational resilience across cloud, endpoint, identity, and data environments.

The Falcon Next-Gen SIEM fuses native Falcon capabilities with third-party telemetry, real-time threat intelligence, and AI-based automation to elevate detection and response performance enterprise-wide. Wipro CyberShield MDR integrates these features with Wipro's global delivery network and partners, including Wipro Ventures-backed startups Simbian and Tuskira, to deliver a proactive, AI-driven security framework. Services will be operated from eight Cyber Defense Centers (CDCs) globally.

"Wipro’s CyberShield platform, powered by CrowdStrike’s AI-native product suites and strengthened by our security ecosystem will help enterprises contain threats swiftly and ensure continuity of digital operations," stated Tony Buffomante, Senior Vice President & Global Head – Cybersecurity & Risk Services, Wipro Limited. "This integrated platform approach enables AI automated workflows, prevents lateral threat movement, and eliminates potential security gaps that fragmented solutions often miss."

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer, CrowdStrike, added, "The Falcon platform supercharges Wipro’s CyberShield Managed Security Services to deliver real-time attack detection, faster response and outcomes that stop breaches. Together, we’re simplifying operations across Wipro’s ecosystem of partners — reducing costs, accelerating time-to-value and giving customers the confidence to stay ahead of today’s adversaries."

Wipro CyberShieldSM MDR will be officially launched at CrowdStrike Fal.Con 2025.

Wipro: AI to Transform U.S. Insurance Industry by 2030

June 12, 2025 - Wipro’s latest report, “The AI Advantage: Building Tomorrow’s Insurance Enterprise,” reveals U.S. insurers plan to more than double their AI investments over the next 3–5 years, growing AI’s share of IT budgets from 8% to 20%. In a survey of 100 U.S. insurance leaders (firms with $500M+ revenue), 81% said they will increase AI spending within a year, and 92% see AI as vital for competitive customer experience and personalization. Larger firms are leading adoption, while mid-sized and smaller insurers struggle with legacy systems and limited expertise.

Underwriting is a key AI focus, with expectations of improved risk assessment, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Yet, only 46% have extensively implemented AI in underwriting workflows. Challenges include integrating AI with legacy systems (cited by 71%), risks of bias, and lack of formal AI policies (noted in 44% of smaller firms).

To address these hurdles, insurers are prioritizing phased AI rollouts, cross-department collaboration, and workforce upskilling. Wipro stresses that AI is no longer optional but foundational for success, urging firms to build strong governance and technical foundations to scale AI adoption effectively.
