SmartestEnergy Partners with Cognizant to Enhance Cybersecurity Resilience

October 7, 2025 – Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH) has announced a strategic collaboration with SmartestEnergy, the UK-based energy firm focused on helping businesses transition to net zero. The partnership aims to fortify SmartestEnergy’s cybersecurity infrastructure as the company expands globally and navigates increasingly complex digital threats.

To strengthen its security posture, SmartestEnergy has chosen Cognizant to implement a comprehensive Managed Extended Detection & Response (MXDR) service. This solution will encompass the full cybersecurity stack—technology, personnel, and processes—to support real-time threat monitoring, prevention, and mitigation.

As part of the engagement, Cognizant will deploy a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) as-a-service, designed to provide advanced threat detection, proactive hunting, and rapid incident response capabilities. This initiative aims to reduce the risk of cyber disruptions and ensure continuous protection of SmartestEnergy's digital ecosystem.

The collaboration also includes the development of a long-term roadmap to reinforce critical security domains, adopt AI-powered cybersecurity tools, and align with evolving regulatory compliance standards.
