Coforge Opens ‘The Coforge Public Library’ in Gurugram, Expanding Access to Knowledge and Lifelong Learning
June 7, 2025 – Coforge Limited (NSE: COFORGE), a global leader in digital services and solutions, today unveiled ‘The Coforge Public Library’ in Gurugram, a distinctive initiative aimed at providing free access to knowledge and fostering lifelong learning. Situated near Badshahpur Chowk on Sohna Road, Sector 48, Gurugram, this marks the company’s second public library under its flagship CSR program. The first library was launched in Noida in February 2024.
The Gurugram library was inaugurated by Anuradha Sehgal, Global Head – Branding and CSR at Coforge, in the presence of representatives from local schools and community groups. Speaking at the opening, Sehgal shared the vision behind the initiative:
“The Coforge Public Library is a heartfelt initiative born from Coforge’s commitment towards social responsibility. The space has been designed with great love and care, and the collection of 16,000 books has been thoughtfully curated. Today, we are delighted to open its doors to the people of Gurugram. We hope this beautiful space will be a sanctuary of knowledge and lifelong learning, inspiring people from all walks of life and across all ages to delve into the wonderful world of books – a time-tested repository of wisdom and knowledge down the ages.”
Spanning 15,000 square feet on the Ground Floor of the Bestech Business Center, the library features a seating capacity of 160 and has been designed to provide a warm and inclusive environment. Large windows bring in natural light with views of greenery, while wide aisles ensure wheelchair accessibility. The space includes iPads for accessing thousands of digital titles and a dedicated children’s zone to encourage young readers to explore books in a playful and engaging setting.
The library’s impressive collection includes over 16,000 books across diverse genres, including 2,000 Hindi titles. Covering fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, self-help, business, spirituality, art, photography, poetry, and technology, the books represent works by more than 13,000 unique authors and 350+ renowned publishers such as Penguin, HarperCollins, Amar Chitra Katha, Oxford University Press, and Sahitya Akademi. A fully digitized cataloging and management system ensures a seamless experience for visitors.
The library is open to the public seven days a week, from 9 AM to 8 PM. The location can be accessed via Google Maps here.
Sudhir Singh, CEO & Executive Director of Coforge, emphasized the broader mission of the initiative:
“The Coforge Public Library reflects our belief that access to knowledge is a powerful catalyst for long-term social transformation.
